Graham Collins, Fish Hoek
My wife Jean and I are recent arrivals to the deep south, having bought a house in Fish Hoek.
We have been unhappy about the apparent disputes between residents and the management of the Brass Bell, and which have been ongoing for some years now.
It was therefore so refreshing to read the article (“Artist creates mural magic in Kalk Bay,” Echo, April 28) about the wonderful artwork by Christine Andrews, one of which would seem to have transformed the ugly, unwelcome Kalk Bay station subway.
What an amazing peaceful, colourful transformation.
We cannot quite place the mural at the children’s pool, but it seems to have also made a marvellous improvement .
Well done to the parties who seem to have transformed an ugly, unfriendly looking area into something quite wonderful. The artist Christine Andrews deserves a standing ovation too.
