Judy Scott-Goldman, Simon’s Town
On a chilly, dark, wet Monday morning (July 12), the electricity supply was abruptly cut off just before 7am to a few streets in Simon’s Town, including Flagship Way, where I live.
The electrical repair personnel arrived during the day and worked on into a cold, rainy night to restore the power by 1am on Tuesday morning.
We residents therefore woke up on Tuesday morning to the comforts of hot showers and steaming cups of tea. Appreciative comments on our street chat group included “very impressed”, “great work ethic” and “gold stars” for the electricians. Thank you, City of Cape Town.
