Muizenberg Festival hosted yet another Concert in the Park event in Muizenberg Park on Sunday February 12. Most people arrived with picnic baskets and smiles. Four stellar local bands rocked the socks off of the crowds, who partied first with kasi-pop group Native Young, then reggae kings Sons of Selassie. Next up was a whole new experience for many, with Mthwakazi’s Xho-pera (Xhosa Opera) and then on to the live wire gyspy-rockers, Crimson House, whose energetic set lifted the crowd to a foot-stomping crescendo of screams whistles and cheers.
