Fund-raiser swim

Matthew Busse, a volunteer for the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), representing station 10 in Simon’s Town swam in 11 degree Celsius water from Robben Island to Big Bay on Thursday April 21 to raise funds for the NSRI’s drowning prevention programme. He swam with a group of 25 volunteers who had been training for a couple of months. The group raised more than R110 000 for the NSRI’s drowning prevention programme.
