Crafters took to public areas on Saturday June 11 to celebrate Happy World Wide Knit in Public Day.
At Imhoff Farm, near Kommetjie, they came from far and wide to knit and crochet squares for 6 700 blankets for Nelson Mandela Day.
At Constantia Village, shoppers stopped to chat to members of the Constantia Handcraft Club. Established in 1985, the club meets in the hall at the Dutch Reformed Church on Ladies Mile traffic circle every Wednesday, from 9am to noon. Contact 082 473 1139.
