There will be no Shark Spotters at Fish Hoek, St James/Kalk Bay, Muizenberg and the Caves at Kogel Bay on Thursday July 4.
On the day, the Shark Spotters’ team will be attending an advanced safety training course.
The City has given the Shark Spotters Programme go ahead to suspend their operations as it believes that enhancing their safety skills is to the betterment of the service, and will benefit visitors to our coastline.
Residents, who plan to visit the beach tomorrow, are encouraged to be vigilant and take the necessary safety precautions.Â
All Shark Spotter operations will return to work on Friday July 5.
