I recently started biking from Fish Hoek to Kalk Bay to work and I wonder if after all these many years of roadworks there will be no bike lane?
There is currently not enough space for a bike and a car – at least not when the biker is me.
I feel nervous to ride right on the edge of the road. Some drivers are very patient but some are very aggressive, hooting and swearing if I slow them down.
Is the likelihood if a bike lane something
you could look into? Or a dedicated pavement for cyclists? Anything at all?
Sport biking is a great tourist attraction for this part of the peninsula, and what with unsafe and unreliable trains and high petrol prices biking in and around the Fish Hoek valley just makes so much sense.
