It was with great pleasure to read in the Echo that the Lions Club is reviving the Garden of Remembrance at False Bay Hospital, (“Lions Club beautifies garden of remembrance,” Echo Thursday November 14).
I would, however, like to pay tribute to all those who worked and supported the gardening projects to beautify the gardens in the past, of whom there are too many to mention.
The Hospital Facility Board in office in 2003 in particular. They started the initiative and gave a great deal of support to the volunteer gardeners over the following years.
To all those, who helped over the years, to all those who gave plants, made donations and offered appreciation and encouragement – you made a difference. Well done, Lions Club, for continuing the project.
