Flamenco and rhumba duo Duende – guitarists Yazeed Adams and Nizaam Moses – will be playing at the Casa Labia Cultural Centre on Friday September 30 at 6.30pm. The duo opened Derek Gripper’s last concert at the Bluebird Garage in Muizenberg and impressed the crowd with their fiery playing. And neither guitarist reads music, so all is learnt by ear. Organiser of Derek Gripper’s concert, Slow Life’s Paul Kahanovitz, was so impressed with their raw talent and incredible skill that he has arranged a concert featuring the duo themselves.
