A group of young women based in Ocean View has been nominated for a Global Peace Award by Peace Jam.
YWISE – Young Women Inspiring Social Engagement – was formed by Shona Mentor, Antonia Carelse, Donna Castro and Euodia Samson, with the aim of producing positive leaders and improving opportunities for young women.
On Friday March 17, the group met to take photos which are being used to create social awareness around issues which face young women daily.
The group meets on Fridays at 5.30pm at the clubhouse at the multi-purpose centre in Ocean View.
