Paddling up a storm

The annual Peninsula Paddle took place on Sunday June 5 and coincided with World Environment Day. This adventure route takes to the canals, vleis and rivers that cross the Cape Peninsula from Muizenberg to Milnerton. This year, more than 80 paddlers including father and son duo, Mike and Josh Thiem,13, from Glencairn, took to the water in various crafts. Their goal is to highlight the state of Cape Town’s waterways and beaches.
