Remembering an artist

A group of young musicians from the Izivunguvungu MSC Foundation for Youth paid tribute to Aqeel Davids, 9, who was killed by a stray bullet from warring gangsters in Ocean View on September 9, 2017. Aqeel was the youngest member of the group. The inscription on the wall where the group gathered last month, “Aqeel Davids, forever 9”, sums up the heartfelt sadness which still lingers among his fellow students. Former Kleinberg Primary School teacher, Margaret Kindo has been involved with the project since 1996.
