It is with sadness and disappointment that I have watched the deterioration of the Fish Hoek library over the past few months.
We, my mom and I, have been using the library for a good few years, and reading is our favourite pastime.
During lockdown, the library really was our saving grace. However, in the past few months, it has unfortunately been quite a disappointment.
Too many books are stacked and squashed onto the trolleys, shelves are empty and the books are so dirty and grubby one cannot in all good faith take them out.
One never sees any staff, besides the front-end person, returning, renewing or issuing books.
